A group of miners search for diamonds at a private mine in the Kono District in Eastern Sierra Leone. Kono is the country’s diamond mining capital. The world’s third-largest diamond was found in Kono in 1972. Alluvial diamond mining is a big business in the West-African country of Sierra Leone.
